In the third quarter of 2024, the geolocation gaming market on Android in the Netherlands showcased varied performance trends among the top five applications, according to Sensor Tower data.
Pokémon GO experienced a notable fluctuation in its weekly revenue, which peaked at approximately $59K in mid-July before settling around $27K towards the end of September. The app's weekly downloads saw a gradual decline from 2.7K in early July to about 1.6K by the end of the quarter. However, weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at 188K and ending at 211K, after peaking at 254K in early August.
Tamadog - Puppy Pet Dog Games showed a steady increase in weekly revenue, reaching nearly $990 by mid-August, before stabilizing around $631 in late September. The app's downloads peaked in mid-August with 1.2K, followed by a significant drop to 267 in early September, and then recovering to 1.1K by the end of the quarter. Meanwhile, active users showed a resurgence at the end of September, rising to 1.5K.
Monster Hunter Now displayed a downward trend in revenue from $2.6K at the beginning of July to $1.1K by the end of September. Downloads also decreased significantly from 1.1K in early July to 127 by the quarter's end. However, the number of active users remained relatively stable, maintaining around 5K throughout the quarter.
Soundmap - Find Your Songs exhibited a modest revenue increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching $334 in mid-September. Downloads surged in early September, peaking at 1.4K, and active users increased significantly, reaching over 2K in mid-September before stabilizing around 1.4K by the end of the quarter.
Jurassic World Alive saw a notable increase in revenue towards the end of September, peaking at $2.5K. However, downloads displayed a declining trend, starting at 122 in early July and dropping to 77 by the end of September. The active user base remained relatively consistent, hovering around 1.4K to 1.8K throughout the quarter.
