During the third quarter of 2024, the top medical apps on the Android platform in the United Kingdom showcased varied performance in terms of weekly downloads and active users, while none generated revenue from in-app purchases, according to data from Sensor Tower.
The NHS App maintained a consistent weekly download rate, starting at around 23.4K in early July and finishing the quarter at approximately 26.9K. Its weekly active users fluctuated, beginning at 601.7K and peaking at 695.4K by mid-September.
Pharmacy2U NHS Prescriptions saw a decline in weekly downloads early in the quarter, dropping from 5.8K to 3.6K, but rebounded to about 5K by the end of September. Active users closely mirrored this trend, starting at 17.6K and reaching a high of 19.6K towards the end of the quarter.
Patient Access experienced a gradual decrease in downloads from 4.1K to 2.8K mid-quarter, with a slight recovery to 3.4K by the end. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 24K throughout the quarter.
MyChart displayed a moderate increase in downloads, starting at 2.3K and peaking at 3.1K in early September. Active users also rose, beginning at 10.9K and reaching a high of 13.9K by mid-September.
Lastly, FreeStyle LibreLink - GB had a steady download pattern, starting at 1K and slightly decreasing to 1K by the end of the quarter. Active users data was not available for this app.
