According to Sensor Tower data, these apps displayed varying degrees of success in terms of downloads, revenue, and active user engagement.
Spotify: Music and Podcasts recorded an impressive performance with weekly revenues fluctuating between $172K and $214K, peaking at approximately $214K in late August. The app maintained a robust download rate, consistently achieving over 1M downloads weekly, with a peak of 1.16M in early September. Active user engagement also remained strong, increasing from 83.6M to 85.3M over the quarter.
Lark Player:Music Player & MP3 experienced moderate revenue growth, with weekly figures ranging from $510 to $688. The app's downloads were consistent, with a slight peak of 748K in early August, while its active users hovered around 37M throughout the quarter.
Music Player & MP3 - DDMusic did not generate revenue during this period but saw a steady increase in downloads, reaching a peak of 630K in early September. The app's active user base expanded from 1.1M to 1.4M, indicating growing user engagement.
Music Holic-Offline Music did not report revenue figures but experienced fluctuating download rates, with a significant peak of 912K in early August. Its active user count rose from 38K to 787K, showing a substantial growth in user activity over the quarter.
MP3 Downloader Music Download also reported no revenue, with downloads declining from 306K in late July to 41K by the end of September. Active users decreased from 576K to 285K, indicating a downward trend in user retention.
