In the third quarter of 2024, Netflix's gaming offerings on the Android platform in South Africa exhibited diverse trends in downloads and active user engagement, as captured by Sensor Tower data.
GTA: San Andreas – NETFLIX saw a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting from around 1.2K in early July and reaching 1.8K by the end of September. Concurrently, its weekly active users grew steadily from approximately 14.1K to 20.6K, demonstrating a consistent rise in user engagement throughout the quarter.
CoComelon: Play with JJ experienced a decline in weekly downloads over the quarter, beginning at 1.6K in early July and dropping to about 625 by the end of September. Active user data for this app was not available, providing an incomplete picture of user engagement trends.
Netflix Stories showed fluctuating download numbers, with a notable peak of 1.5K in mid-August before declining to 685 by the end of September. The app's weekly active users also varied, reaching a high of 3.3K in August and ending the quarter with approximately 2.3K users.
Too Hot to Handle 2 NETFLIX maintained a relatively stable download rate, with numbers hovering around the 500 mark throughout the quarter. Its weekly active users increased from 7.5K in early July to approximately 8K by the end of September, indicating steady user retention.
GTA: Vice City – NETFLIX experienced a modest increase in weekly downloads, starting at 553 and ending at 467. Concurrently, its weekly active users showed a gradual rise from 2.3K to 2.9K, suggesting a growing user base.
