In the third quarter of 2024, the personal finance budgeting and planning apps on the Android platform in Germany showed varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the performance of the top five applications in this category.
Finanzguru - Konten & Verträge from dwins GmbH saw a noticeable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $59.7K in early September. The app's downloads experienced a robust growth, starting at 8.9K in early July and reaching nearly 18.9K by the end of September. Active user numbers remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 220K to 246K throughout the quarter.
Splitwise maintained a consistent revenue stream, with weekly figures hovering around $1.2K to $1.8K. Downloads were strong, beginning at 7.3K and climbing to 10.7K by the quarter's end. Active users showed a slight increase, ranging from 37K to nearly 40K by the end of September.
Outbank - Money Manager App had a steady revenue performance throughout the quarter, with weekly revenues ranging between $923 and $1.3K. However, there were no new downloads reported during this period, indicating a focus on retaining existing users.
Splid – Split group bills generated a consistent weekly revenue, reaching up to $1.4K mid-August before settling around $900 by the end of September. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 7.4K in late September. The app's active user base remained stable, with numbers slightly increasing from around 30K to 31.8K by the quarter's end.
Lastly, YNAB showed a steady revenue stream, with weekly figures varying from $659 to $1.3K. Active users remained minimal, starting at 118 in early July and decreasing slightly to around 100 by the end of September.
