In the third quarter of 2024, the Puzzle RPG category on the Android platform in Australia saw varied performances among its leading applications. Data from Sensor Tower reveals intriguing trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users for the top five apps in this category.
Cup Heroes by VOODOO showed a promising increase in revenue, beginning the quarter at around $1.2K and reaching a peak of approximately $3K by the end of September. Downloads fluctuated significantly, with a notable surge in early August, peaking at over 5K in the week of September 2nd. Weekly active users also rose steadily, starting from 3.6K and reaching close to 10K in early September before slightly declining towards the end of the quarter.
Game of Thrones: Legends RPG from Zynga experienced a gradual increase in revenue, starting at $2.2K and peaking at $3.5K in the last week of September. However, downloads saw a downward trend, with numbers dropping to just 230 by early September, before a slight recovery to 649 by the end of the month. Active users mirrored this trend, starting at 1.7K and experiencing a dip mid-quarter, but recovering to 2.1K by the end.
Puzzles & Survival by 37GAMES maintained a robust revenue stream, consistently generating between $15K and $20K weekly. Downloads, however, were modest, peaking at just over 2K in late July before settling around the 600 mark. Weekly active users saw a spike to nearly 2.5K in early August but generally remained around 1.5K towards the quarter's end.
Bag Fight, another title from VOODOO, had a challenging quarter with declining revenue from $491 to $299 by the end of September. Downloads decreased significantly, dropping from over 1K in early July to 434 by the end of the quarter. Active users followed a similar trajectory, starting at 3.3K and plummeting to around 1.4K in late September.
Empires & Puzzles: Dragon Dawn by Small Giant Games demonstrated stable revenue, with weekly figures ranging from $13K to $19K. Downloads were relatively low, starting at 743 and decreasing to 214 by the end of September. Weekly active users remained steady throughout the quarter, fluctuating around the 4K mark.
