In the third quarter of 2024, the Squad RPG genre on Android in the United States showcased varied performance across the top five apps. According to data from Sensor Tower, each game demonstrated unique trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
Hero Wars: Alliance from NEXTERS GLOBAL LTD saw a consistent revenue stream, peaking at approximately $465K in the final week of September. Downloads fluctuated, starting with 30.3K in early July and reaching a high of 37.6K by early September. The weekly active user count showed some variability, peaking at 78.2K in early September before settling at around 65.8K by the end of the quarter.
Airship Knights, developed by Super Planet, experienced a remarkable spike in downloads, with a peak of 279K in late September. However, revenue remained modest, rising from $182 to $1.6K in the same period. The app's weekly active users surged dramatically to 190.8K towards the end of the quarter.
MARVEL Strike Force: Squad RPG by Scopely maintained a robust revenue stream, peaking at $589K in mid-August. Downloads showed an initial surge, reaching 44.7K in early August, then stabilized around 13K towards the quarter's end. Active users demonstrated resilience, with numbers hovering around 108K in the final week of September.
RAID: Shadow Legends from Plarium Global Ltd displayed strong revenue growth, peaking at $1.2M in late September. Downloads remained relatively consistent, averaging around 15K to 18K throughout the quarter. Weekly active users slightly decreased, closing the quarter at approximately 65K.
Lastly, Star Wars™: Galaxy of Heroes by ELECTRONIC ARTS showed a steady revenue, with a peak of $509K in mid-August. Downloads were highest in late July at 57.2K, before settling to around 4.5K by the end of September. Active users saw a slight decline, finishing the quarter at 287.6K.
