In the third quarter of 2024, the survival games category on Android in the United States showcased diverse performance trends, as revealed by Sensor Tower data. Here's a closer look at the top five games:
Last Day on Earth: Survival demonstrated a significant increase in its weekly revenue, which climbed from approximately $54K at the beginning of July to around $83K by the end of September. The game saw a moderate fluctuation in weekly downloads, peaking at roughly 5.9K in early September. Meanwhile, weekly active users grew from about 17.6K to 19.2K over the quarter, with a notable rise in the first week of September.
Westland Survival: Cowboy Game experienced a steady revenue performance, starting at $42K in early July and closing at $35K by the end of September. Weekly downloads saw an initial rise, peaking at 5.5K in late August, before settling at 4.3K. The active user base showed resilience, maintaining around 20K throughout the quarter.
Idle Breaker - Loot & Survive enjoyed a remarkable surge in weekly revenue, starting at $6.4K and reaching a high of $42K in late August, before stabilizing around $33K by the end of September. Downloads followed a similar trend, with a peak of 15.5K in mid-August, tapering off to 5.3K. Active users jumped from 20.8K to a peak of 36.9K, concluding the quarter at 23.7K.
Grim Soul: Dark Survival RPG saw its revenue peak at $27.9K in late July before settling at $22.4K by September's end. Downloads experienced a high of 4.9K in early July, leveling out at 4.2K. Active users showed an upward trend, increasing from 9.3K to 14.6K throughout the quarter.
Lastly, Days After: Zombie Survival maintained a stable revenue performance, starting at $8.3K and ending around $10K. Download numbers varied slightly, ranging between 2.9K and 4.2K. The active user count remained consistent, hovering around 11K across the quarter.
