In the third quarter of 2024, the top travel and local apps on Android in Norway demonstrated varied performance in terms of downloads and active user engagement, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here’s a closer look at how these apps fared during this period.
Recharge EV Charging saw its weekly downloads fluctuate throughout the quarter. Starting with approximately 2.7K downloads in early July, a peak of 3.4K was observed in the second week, followed by a decline to around 1.6K by the end of September.
Ruter, developed by Ruter As, maintained a relatively stable download rate. Weekly downloads started at 1.9K, peaking at 2.2K in late July, before settling at around 1.6K by the end of the quarter. Active users for Ruter showed a slight decline over the quarter, beginning at 22.8K and ending with approximately 21.7K.
Troms Fylkeskommune's Svipper experienced an upward trend in downloads during the quarter. Starting with 907 downloads, the app reached its peak at 2.6K in early August, followed by a gradual decline to roughly 1.4K by the end of September.
Entur - Journey Planner exhibited a consistent pattern in downloads, beginning with 1.8K and gradually decreasing to 1.2K by the quarter's end. This steady decline suggests a stable yet diminishing interest.
Finally, Airbnb had a notable presence with its weekly downloads starting at 2.3K and tapering off to 930 by the end of September. The app’s active user base also showed a downward trend, starting at 19.6K and ending with approximately 16.3K users.
