Top 5 Travel and Local Apps on Android in Turkey, Q3 2024

In the third quarter of 2024, the travel and local app category in Turkey saw varying levels of engagement on the Android platform, with the top five apps demonstrating diverse trends in downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Museums of Türkiye showed a notable increase in weekly downloads, rising from approximately 48K at the start of July to a peak of 73K in late August. However, the downloads tapered off to around 41K by the end of September. Active user numbers mirrored this trend, starting at 83K in early July and peaking at 122K in late August before declining to 84K by the end of the quarter.

obilet: Otel Uçak Otobüs Araç maintained a relatively stable download rate throughout the quarter, with numbers hovering around 43K weekly. Active users initially declined from about 500K to 445K mid-quarter but rebounded to finish the quarter at approximately 400K.

MARTI: TAG & Scooter experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, reaching a high of 46K in mid-July before dropping to 23K by the end of September. Active users followed a similar pattern, peaking at 203K in mid-July and concluding the quarter at 171K.

trivago: Compare hotel prices saw a significant decline in weekly downloads, starting from 40K in early July and dwindling to just 5K by the end of September. Active users also decreased sharply, from 115K at the beginning of the quarter to 51K at its conclusion.

BiTaksi - Your Taxi! had a steady increase in weekly downloads, beginning at 25K and reaching 34K by early September, before stabilizing around 28K. Active user numbers rose from 77K in early July to a peak of 96K in early September, maintaining around 89K by the quarter's end.
