In the third quarter of 2024, the top consumer finance applications on iOS in Australia showcased varied performance metrics, with CommBank, ANZ Plus, Westpac, ANZ Australia, and NAB Mobile Banking leading the pack. Here’s a closer look at their trends in downloads and weekly active users.
CommBank from Commonwealth Bank of Australia saw a steady download rate, peaking at around 18.3K downloads in the final week of September. The app maintained strong weekly active user numbers, fluctuating slightly but staying above 2M throughout the quarter.
ANZ Plus experienced a moderate increase in downloads, reaching a high of 10.5K in early August. Its weekly active users also showed an upward trend, ending the quarter with approximately 198.6K users.
Westpac demonstrated a consistent growth pattern in downloads, culminating in 10.6K by the end of September. The app's active user base remained stable, hovering around 434K throughout the quarter.
ANZ Australia showed a significant rise in downloads, particularly in the last week of September, reaching 10.5K. Weekly active users fluctuated but remained relatively stable, closing the quarter with about 612K users.
Lastly, NAB Mobile Banking observed a steady download rate, peaking at approximately 9.3K downloads in late September. Weekly active users saw a slight increase, ending the quarter with around 776K users.
