In the third quarter of 2024, the MMORPG category on iOS in Europe saw varying performance trends among its top five applications. Data sourced from Sensor Tower reveals interesting insights into downloads, revenue, and active user metrics for these popular apps.
Diablo Immortal from Blizzard Entertainment, Inc., demonstrated a fluctuating revenue pattern, peaking at approximately $261K in late August. Downloads remained fairly consistent, averaging around 6.4K weekly. However, weekly active users saw a gradual decline from 113K at the beginning of July to around 91K by the end of September.
DOFUS Touch: A WAKFU Prequel by Ankama experienced a relatively stable revenue flow, with a notable peak of $57K in the last week of July. Downloads varied, reaching a high of 3.5K in mid-August, while weekly active users remained steady, fluctuating slightly around 23K throughout the quarter.
For Flame of Valhalla Global, published by Leniu Games, revenue saw an early surge, hitting $66K in the final week of July, followed by a gradual decline to $32K by the end of September. Downloads started strong with 25K in late July but decreased significantly, stabilizing around 2.3K in September.
Shakes and Fidget: Idle RPG from Playa Games GmbH observed a dynamic revenue trend, with a peak of $50K in late September. While downloads showed modest growth from 2.1K to 2.6K over the quarter, active users maintained a consistent presence, averaging around 35K weekly.
Finally, NIGHT CROWS by Wemade Co., Ltd. reported relatively modest revenue figures, peaking at $41K in late August. Downloads were minimal, with a sharp decline from 264 in early July to just 2 by the end of September. Active user data was not available for this app.
