In the third quarter of 2024, the top five news applications on the iOS platform in Luxembourg showed varied performance trends according to data from Sensor Tower. Here's a detailed look at each app's metrics throughout this period.
Reddit observed fluctuating weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $197 in late July, before settling around $68 by the end of September. The app's weekly downloads started strong at around 214 in early July, showing a gradual decline to 129 by the end of the quarter. Meanwhile, weekly active users remained relatively stable, with numbers hovering around 10K throughout the quarter, ending slightly lower at 9.9K.
X from X Corp. experienced a notable revenue increase, reaching a high of $1.2K in early September. Download numbers were less consistent, starting at 237 and dropping to 164 by the end of the quarter. Active user counts showed a downward trend, starting at 19.1K and decreasing to 17.7K by the quarter's close.
RTL.lu showed no revenue generation throughout Q3 2024, but weekly downloads displayed a positive trend. Beginning at 114, downloads peaked at 180 in late September before closing at 100. Unfortunately, data on active users was not available for this app during the period.
Biscuit also reported zero revenue during this quarter. Weekly downloads started at 90, dipped to a low of 43 in early August, but saw a recovery towards the end of the quarter, peaking at 202 in mid-September and then declining to 62 by the end of the month. Active user statistics were unavailable for Biscuit during Q3.
RTL generated no revenue in Q3 2024, with weekly downloads beginning at 75 and showing a gradual increase to 125 by late September, before ending at 86. Active users exhibited a slight upward trend, starting at 616 and reaching 736 towards the end of the quarter, closing at 691.
