In the third quarter of 2024, the air travel app market in the Middle East saw dynamic trends across the top five applications on the unified platform. Data from Sensor Tower reveals interesting insights into their performance, focusing on weekly downloads and active users.
The flyadeal App experienced significant fluctuations in downloads, peaking at around 72.9K in mid-September. This app maintained a strong active user base, climbing from approximately 105.8K at the start of July to a high of 145.7K in mid-September, before settling at 124.8K by the end of the quarter.
Saudia observed a notable increase in downloads, reaching about 43.9K in the week of September 16. The app's active users mirrored this trend, with numbers rising from 169.1K at the beginning of the quarter to a peak of 192.6K in mid-September, ending the quarter at 173.9K.
flynas طيران ناس saw its downloads surge to approximately 44.4K in mid-September. Its active user count also increased significantly, from around 76.2K at the start of July to 99.6K in mid-September, closing the quarter at 71K.
The Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker app had a steady revenue stream, averaging around $11K weekly. Downloads varied, peaking at 29.6K at the end of July. Active users increased from 42.6K in early July to 50.6K by the end of September.
Lastly, Qatar Airways faced a decline in downloads over the quarter, starting at 21K in early July and dropping to 9.4K by the end of September. Active user numbers also saw a decrease, from 47.8K at the beginning of the quarter to 35.8K by the end.
