In the third quarter of 2024, the performance of the top auto applications on a unified platform in Nigeria showcased a variety of trends in downloads, revenue, and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.
Copart - Online Auto Auctions experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at around $194 in mid-August and closing the quarter with $96. Weekly downloads saw a gradual decline, starting at about 2.5K in early July and dipping to 844 by early September before slightly recovering to 1.3K by quarter-end. Active users followed a similar downward trend, decreasing from 5.9K at the beginning of the quarter to 4.5K by the end.
Autochek - Auto Sales & Loans maintained a steady presence with weekly downloads starting at 1.2K in early July and stabilizing around 542 by the end of September.
The app RTO Vehicle Information showed a notable peak in downloads at 970 in late July, followed by a decline and stabilization around the 230 mark towards the end of the quarter. Active users saw a peak at 3.2K at the end of July, followed by fluctuations, settling at 2K by the end of September.
Nigeria Car Mart had a gradual increase in downloads, starting from 60 in early July and reaching a high of 385 in early August, but faced a consistent decline towards the end of the quarter, reaching 178 by late September.
Lastly, Carmin had a relatively stable download trend, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching 348 by late September. Active user numbers showed a consistent increase, peaking at 452 by the end of the quarter.
