In the third quarter of 2024, the beauty retail app landscape in Ecuador featured some noteworthy trends across the top five applications. Data from Sensor Tower provides an insightful overview of these apps' performance on a unified platform.
Oriflame, from Oriflame Cosmetics AG, exhibited a fluctuating download trend with weekly downloads peaking at about 2.7K in mid-July. Despite these fluctuations, the app maintained a strong presence with a steady increase in weekly active users, growing from approximately 10.6K at the beginning of July to nearly 13.5K by the end of September.
Pixi Beauty saw its downloads fluctuate throughout the quarter, starting at around 517 and ending with a slight dip to 265 downloads per week. Unfortunately, there was no available data on active users for Pixi Beauty during this period.
JOLSE experienced a varied download pattern, with numbers ranging from 205 to 493 throughout the quarter. The app saw a noticeable surge in downloads in mid-September, reaching 493, before settling at 451 by the end of the quarter. Like Pixi Beauty, active user data was not available for JOLSE.
OLIVEYOUNG GLOBAL, published by CJ Olive Young Corporation, demonstrated a relatively stable download pattern, with numbers mostly ranging between 229 and 401. Weekly active users exhibited a gradual increase, starting at 801 and peaking at 961 in mid-September, before concluding the quarter with approximately 907 active users.
Finally, yanbal Tienda Online showed a sporadic download trend, beginning with lower numbers in early July, then spiking to 1.7K in mid-August. Unfortunately, no active user data was available for this app during the quarter.
