In the third quarter of 2024, the top communication apps in France showed varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at the data provided by Sensor Tower.
Snapchat from Snap Inc experienced a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $404K in mid-September. Weekly downloads saw a significant rise from around 71K in July to over 122K in mid-August, before stabilizing around 98K by the end of September. The app's active user base remained strong, hovering around 16.5M throughout the quarter.
Azar: Video Chat & Meet People by Hyperconnect LLC showed a steady weekly revenue, maintaining around $120K towards the end of the quarter. Downloads reached a peak of 30K in mid-August but declined to under 19K by the end of September. Active users fluctuated slightly, ending the quarter with approximately 176K.
Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out from Discord Inc. saw weekly revenue fluctuate, closing the quarter at around $80K. Downloads peaked at nearly 65K in late August, followed by a gradual decline to about 53K by the end of September. The number of active users showed an upward trend, reaching close to 5.8M by the end of the quarter.
Onoff, developed by Onoff Telecom, reported a consistent increase in weekly revenue, reaching over $131K by the end of September. Downloads, however, showed a declining trend, starting at around 7.7K in early July and dropping to approximately 3.6K by the end of the quarter. The app maintained a stable active user base of around 22K.
Telegram by Telegram FZ-LLC saw its weekly revenue rise, peaking at over $52K in early September. Downloads spiked to over 237K in mid-August before settling at 116K at the quarter's end. Active users remained robust, fluctuating around 4.8M throughout the period.
