In the third quarter of 2024, the top communication apps in Peru exhibited varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.
WhatsApp Messenger maintained strong weekly downloads, fluctuating between approximately 142K and 200K. The app's active user base showed a steady upward trend, peaking at around 20.9M by the end of September.
Telegram experienced a consistent increase in weekly revenue, starting at roughly $2.9K and reaching over $5K by the end of the quarter. Weekly downloads saw a peak of around 144K in mid-August, while active users varied slightly, ending the quarter at about 839K.
Messenger from Meta Platforms saw minimal revenue generation, with a brief spike to $128 in early August. Downloads decreased gradually from approximately 91K in early July to about 62K by the end of September. The app's active users also declined slightly, closing the quarter at approximately 5.9M.
WhatsApp Business showed stable weekly revenue, hovering around $300, with a slight peak of $362 in mid-September. Downloads were consistent, with a slight increase in late September to about 65K. Active users showed a small dip in early September but recovered to approximately 1.2M by the end of the quarter.
CallApp: Caller ID & Block had a stable revenue stream, mostly around $2K, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter. Downloads varied, peaking at about 67K in early July and ending at around 58K. Active users displayed minor fluctuations, maintaining around 950K throughout the quarter.
