In Q3 2024, the consumer finance app landscape in Uruguay showcased notable trends across the top five applications: eBROU, Movil Plus, OCA, Itaú UY, and BBVA Uruguay. Here’s a closer look at their performance metrics, based on data from Sensor Tower.
eBROU maintained a solid presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 4.8K and 6.9K. The app saw a peak at the beginning of September with 6.9K downloads. Its active user base remained stable, averaging around 41K to 42K weekly, with a slight uptick towards the end of the quarter.
Movil Plus experienced a significant surge in downloads, particularly in mid-August, reaching as high as 9.4K in a single week. This growth was reflected in its active users, which increased from approximately 30.6K to 34.7K by the quarter's end.
OCA showed a consistent pattern in downloads, ranging from 2.5K to 3.2K weekly. Active users fluctuated slightly, maintaining a range around 29K to 31K throughout the quarter, indicating a steady user engagement.
Itaú UY observed a gradual increase in downloads over the quarter, peaking at 2.7K in early September. Active users also showed a positive trend, starting at 26.4K and reaching up to 29.4K by early August.
Lastly, BBVA Uruguay maintained a consistent download rate, with figures ranging from 1.3K to 2K. Although specific active user data was not available, the steady download rate suggests ongoing user interest.
