In the third quarter of 2024, the film and television app market in Latvia saw varied performance among its top contenders on a unified platform, according to Sensor Tower data. Here's a closer look at the trends in weekly downloads and revenue for the top 5 apps.
Go3 Latvia from AS Go3 Baltics showed a steady decline in weekly downloads, starting from 1.3K in early July and dipping to around 617 by the end of September. Despite the consistent download activity, the app did not generate any revenue during this period.
Netflix maintained a stable weekly download range, fluctuating between 565 and 760 throughout the quarter. Revenue for Netflix remained relatively consistent, with weekly figures hovering around $160 to $195.
VK Video: shows, films, series experienced an increase in downloads from 332 in the first week of July to a peak of 877 in early August, before settling around the 500s towards the end of September. Similar to Go3 Latvia, VK Video did not record any revenue during this quarter.
Disney+ witnessed a significant spike in weekly downloads in mid-September, reaching 785, before slightly declining to 512 by the end of the quarter. Revenue for Disney+ showed minor fluctuations, maintaining a range from $1.5K to $1.9K, reflecting strong monetization performance.
Tet TV+ for Android TV from Tet SIA exhibited a somewhat steady download rate across the quarter, with numbers ranging from 310 to 542. Revenue showed a slight upward trend, closing the quarter with a peak of approximately $1.2K in the last week of September.
