In the third quarter of 2024, OPay-We are beyond Banking demonstrated impressive traction in Nigeria with downloads starting at approximately 340K in early July and peaking at nearly 627K in early August. The app maintained a robust user base, with active users gradually increasing from 3.4M to 4M by the end of September.
Tonkeeper — TON Wallet saw varied download activity, beginning with nearly 483K downloads, dipping in late July, and then climbing back to around 447K in early September. Active user numbers showed an upward trajectory, starting at 1.3M and reaching close to 2M by mid-September. The app's revenue also saw significant growth, starting from minimal earnings and achieving a peak revenue of around $296 by the end of the quarter.
Bybit: Buy & Trade Crypto had fluctuating download numbers, with notable spikes in mid-July and early September, reaching up to 584K downloads. Active users mirrored this pattern, with numbers rising from approximately 213K to a peak of 859K in mid-September.
Bitget Wallet: Crypto, Bitcoin experienced a surge in downloads in late August, hitting over 633K, while active users increased significantly from around 104K to a peak of 967K by early September.
PalmPay - Transfers, Bills maintained a steady download pace, starting at 178K in July and slightly decreasing to 152K by the end of September. Active users showed consistent engagement, fluctuating slightly but remaining around 1.8M throughout the quarter.
