During the third quarter of 2024, the interactive story games sector showed dynamic performance in the United States across a unified platform. According to Sensor Tower data, here is an overview of the top five applications in this category.
ReelShort - Short Movie & TV from NewLeaf Publishing experienced fluctuating revenue, beginning at around $3.1M at the start of July, dipping in July, but later climbing up to approximately $3.5M by the end of September. Weekly downloads peaked at over 650K in early August, reflecting a significant boost from mid-July figures of around 156K. Active user numbers mirrored this trend, with a peak of approximately 1.5M in early August.
GossipMaster, published by SUPERSONIC STUDIOS LTD, maintained a steady number of downloads, peaking at 129K in late July. Although revenue remained negligible, the app consistently engaged users, with active users ranging from 517K in early July to 582K by the end of September.
Love Island: The Game from Fusebox Games showed a downward trend in revenue, starting at $348K and declining to $114K by the end of September. Downloads followed a similar pattern, decreasing from around 76K to 21K. Active users also declined from 152K to 116K over the quarter.
Episode - Choose Your Story by Episode Interactive displayed a gradual decrease in revenue, from $379K in early July to $252K at the quarter's end. Downloads saw a slight decrease from 55K to 39K, while active users decreased from 183K to 147K.
Love and Deepspace by INFOLD PTE. LTD. had an inconsistent revenue pattern, with a notable peak of approximately $1.4M in late September. Downloads varied, reaching 114K mid-July and then stabilizing around 19K by the end of September. Active users peaked at roughly 206K in late July, before settling around 164K.
