In the third quarter of 2024, the top five maps and navigation apps in Germany displayed varied performance trends, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at how these apps fared:
TomTom GO Navigation saw a peak in weekly revenue at approximately $87.1K during the week of August 19. Downloads reached their highest at 30K in the week of August 5, while active users peaked at 54.9K that same week. However, by the end of the quarter, active users decreased to around 32K.
calimoto — Motorcycle GPS experienced a peak in revenue of about $103.8K in late July. Downloads were relatively stable, hovering around 3.7K in August, but dropped to 1.3K by the end of September. Active users remained fairly consistent, ending the quarter at 5.5K.
Navionics® Boating had its peak revenue of approximately $53.8K in late July, with a gradual decline to $35.2K by the end of September. Weekly downloads started at 1.6K and ended at around 800. Active users began at 2.2K, with a slight reduction to 1.7K by quarter's end.
Sygic GPS Navigation & Maps showed a steady decline in revenue, starting at $26.9K and ending at $16.9K. Downloads peaked at 10.9K during late July but decreased to 2.8K by the end of September. Active users reached a high of 26.4K in late July and settled at 17.4K by the end of the quarter.
Finally, Radarbot Speed Camera Detector maintained stable revenue, peaking at $21.7K in the last week of September. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 20.5K in early July and ending at 15.5K. The app maintained a strong user base with active users ranging from 86.5K to 80.5K throughout the quarter.
