In the third quarter of 2024, the top medical apps in the United States displayed diverse performance metrics across downloads, revenue, and active user engagement. These insights, sourced from Sensor Tower, reveal the dynamics of the medical app market during this period.
epocrates from Epocrates witnessed a consistent weekly revenue trend, starting at around $128K at the beginning of July and ending the quarter with approximately $122K. Downloads saw a mid-quarter peak of about 5.2K in late August, while active users experienced a slight decline from 12.3K to 11.3K by the end of September.
Huckleberry: Baby & Child, published by Huckleberry Labs Inc., showed a steady increase in weekly revenue, reaching $61K in the last week of September. The app's weekly downloads peaked early in September at about 21.7K, with active users consistently maintaining above 500K, closing the quarter with around 517K.
The Sanford Guide by Antimicrobial Therapy, Inc. demonstrated a gradual increase in weekly revenue, starting at $30K in early July and rising to approximately $44K by the end of September. Weekly downloads fluctuated, with a notable dip to 509 in mid-September. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 3.4K throughout the quarter.
SnoreLab : Record Your Snoring from Reviva Softworks Ltd saw its weekly revenue maintain a consistent range, peaking at $37K in mid-September. Downloads remained fairly steady, with a slight peak of 4.9K in mid-September, while active users showed a gradual decline, finishing the quarter at approximately 16K.
Lastly, WeMoms - Pregnancy & Baby App by Globalia experienced a decline in weekly revenue, beginning at $30K and ending at about $20K. Downloads also decreased over the quarter, with a slight recovery to 9.3K in late September. Active users fluctuated but closed the quarter with a slight increase to 171K.
