State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
The third quarter of 2024 saw significant trends among the top medical apps in the United States, with data provided by Sensor Tower. Here’s a closer look at how these apps performed in terms of downloads and active users.
MyChart, developed by Epic, saw a stable performance in weekly downloads, starting at around 131K and peaking at approximately 171K by the end of September. The app maintained a strong presence with weekly active users fluctuating between 2.2M and 2.5M throughout the quarter.
UnitedHealthcare experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, beginning at about 77K and reaching nearly 112K by the end of the quarter. Active users also grew steadily, starting at 261K and closing the quarter at around 300K.
GoodRx: Prescription Coupons from GoodRx maintained consistent weekly download numbers, fluctuating between 65K and 79K. The active user base remained stable, averaging around 330K to 350K during the quarter.
healow, by eClinicalWorks LLC, showed a slight increase in weekly downloads, with numbers ranging from 55K to 82K. The active user count also demonstrated a gradual rise, moving from 378K to about 425K.
Finally, SimplePractice Client Portal by SimplePractice, LLC. saw a steady increase in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads grew from 36K to nearly 48K, while active users increased from approximately 351K to 400K by the end of September.
