Top Navigation and Maps Apps in Brazil Q3 2024

During the third quarter of 2024, Brazil's navigation and maps app market showcased significant trends and dynamics. According to Sensor Tower data, the top five apps in this category demonstrated diverse performance patterns in terms of downloads and weekly active users.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a fluctuation in downloads, beginning the quarter at around 182K and peaking at approximately 240K in the week of July 22. By the end of September, downloads had decreased to around 157K. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 6.3M to 6.5M throughout the quarter.

Google Maps Go maintained a consistent download rate, averaging around 140K each week, with minor fluctuations. Weekly active users showed a slight upward trend, growing from approximately 6.5M at the start of July to about 6.7M by the end of September.

Google Earth experienced moderate download activity, with numbers ranging from 42K to 54K each week. Active users showed some variability, peaking at around 360K mid-quarter before settling back to approximately 342K by the end of September.

Radar - Speed Camera Detector witnessed a notable spike in downloads at the beginning of the quarter, reaching over 44K in mid-July, before settling to around 19K by the end of September. Active user numbers showed a similar trend, peaking at 42K in mid-July and closing the quarter at about 36K. Revenue was generated only in the early weeks, peaking at $407 in the week of July 8.

Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer had a steady download performance, with numbers ranging from 12K to 35K, peaking at the end of September. Active users increased from 28K at the start of the quarter to over 50K by the end.
