Top 5 Navigation and Maps Apps Performance in Qatar Q3 2024

In the third quarter of 2024, the top navigation and maps applications in Qatar saw varying levels of user engagement and downloads, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained stable user engagement, with weekly active users fluctuating around the 200K mark, peaking at 211K in mid-August. Downloads started the quarter strong but experienced a gradual decline, ending with about 4.1K in the last week of September.

Google Maps Go showed consistent active user numbers, hovering around 250K throughout the quarter. Downloads, however, experienced a downward trend, starting at around 4.3K and concluding the quarter at approximately 3.2K.

Google Earth had a modest presence, with weekly downloads ranging from 1K to 1.8K. Active users showed a slight increase by the end of the quarter, reaching 5.9K.

Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer saw an increase in user engagement, with active users climbing from 610 to 1.3K by the end of September. Downloads also reflected this positive trend, rising from 340 to over 1K weekly.

Muslim Prayer - Qibla Compass maintained a steady user base with active users fluctuating around 2.4K. Downloads varied throughout the quarter, closing with 835. The app generated minimal revenue, with occasional peaks of $1 to $2.
