In the third quarter of 2024, the top personal finance budgeting and planning applications in the United States showcased diverse performance trends, according to Sensor Tower data.
Rocket Money - Bills & Budgets saw a fluctuating revenue pattern, peaking at about $316K in early July and ending the quarter with $211K. Weekly downloads increased from approximately 148K to 188K, while active users hovered around 1.8M, with a slight uptick at the quarter's end.
EveryDollar: Personal Budget experienced significant revenue growth, reaching a high of $310K in early September. Downloads slightly decreased, averaging around 44K weekly by the end of the quarter. Active users saw a steady climb, ending with around 449K.
Cleo: Cash advance & Credit maintained stable weekly downloads, averaging around 43K, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter. Active users grew gradually, ending at approximately 390K.
Splitwise showed consistent revenue, peaking at $34K in mid-August. Downloads fluctuated slightly, averaging around 42K, while active users increased steadily, ending at about 133K.
NerdWallet: Manage Your Money experienced a decline in weekly downloads, starting at 27K and dropping to 20K. The active user base remained relatively stable, with around 100K users throughout the quarter.
