In the third quarter of 2024, the top five Pokémon collector games in France showed varied performance metrics across downloads, revenue, and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.
Pokémon GO from Niantic, Inc. saw a fluctuating trend in weekly revenue, beginning at approximately $124K in early July and peaking at around $285K in the second week. Revenue then experienced a gradual decline, closing the quarter at about $194K. Weekly downloads started strong with over 15K in early July, reaching a peak of nearly 26K mid-August, before settling around 17K by the end of September. The game maintained a robust user base, with active users hovering around 1.1M throughout the quarter.
Pokémon Masters EX, developed by DeNA Co., Ltd., experienced a significant increase in weekly revenue in late August, reaching nearly $48K, before stabilizing to approximately $15K by the end of September. Weekly downloads saw moderate growth, peaking at nearly 2.8K in late August. Active users increased notably during the quarter, peaking at over 36K in late August and concluding the quarter with numbers around 18K.
Monster Hunter Now by Niantic, Inc. displayed a fairly stable revenue trend, with a peak of about $13.5K in early September. Downloads varied, with a peak of 4.7K in early August, but tapered off to less than 1K by the end of September. Active users remained relatively stable, maintaining numbers between 37K and 50K throughout the quarter.
Pokémon UNITE from The Pokémon Company saw its highest weekly revenue of approximately $10K in late July, before descending to about $6K by the end of September. Downloads were strongest in mid-July with over 8K, but they decreased to around 4K by the quarter's end. Active users peaked at over 33K in late August, finishing the quarter slightly above 24K.
Finally, Pokémon Sleep, also from The Pokémon Company, experienced a steady rise in weekly revenue, reaching a high of $7.7K in early September. Weekly downloads surged dramatically in late September, peaking at over 15K. Active users showed a significant increase, starting at around 22K and ending with over 37K by the end of the quarter.
