In the third quarter of 2024, the performance of the top 5 shopping applications in the United Kingdom showcased varying trends in downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.
Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire saw a dynamic quarter with weekly downloads peaking at approximately 469K in mid-August. Despite some fluctuations, the app maintained over 263K downloads by the end of September. Weekly active users remained robust, starting at around 5.3M and concluding the quarter with a rise to approximately 5.7M.
SHEIN - Shopping Online experienced a consistent increase in downloads, reaching a high of about 265K in mid-September. Active users also rose steadily, from 4.3M at the start of July to nearly 4.7M by the end of the quarter.
AliExpress - Shopping App began the quarter with downloads around 195K, seeing a notable peak of 277K in August. Active user numbers showed an upward trend, climbing from approximately 1.7M to close to 1.9M by the end of September.
Tesco Groceries for iPhone maintained a steady download rate, reaching a high of about 150K in mid-September. The app's active users saw slight growth, from around 2.3M to 2.4M throughout the quarter.
Lidl Plus experienced a notable increase in downloads, peaking at approximately 124K in mid-September. Active users also saw an upward trend, starting at about 1.2M and rising to over 1.4M by the quarter's end.
