In the third quarter of 2024, the shopping app market in Guatemala saw dynamic trends among the top players. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, provides a snapshot of the performance of the leading shopping apps in terms of downloads and active users.
SHEIN - Shopping Online experienced a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, peaking at around 18.7K in early August. Throughout the quarter, the app maintained a strong presence with weekly active users fluctuating between 352K and 396K, showing a gradual increase over the period.
Alibaba.com observed a downward trend in weekly downloads towards the end of the quarter, dropping from a high of 17.6K in late July to approximately 12.7K by the end of September. Nevertheless, its weekly active users remained relatively stable, ranging from 272K to 303K, with minor fluctuations.
Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire showed modest weekly downloads, peaking at 6.3K in early August. Despite a dip in downloads towards the quarter's end, active users were relatively stable, hovering around 25K to 28K throughout the period.
Kemik saw a decrease in weekly downloads from approximately 4.9K in early July to about 3.5K by the end of September. While no active user data was available, the download trend suggests a gradual decline in user acquisition during the quarter.
AliExpress - Shopping App exhibited a varied download pattern, with a notable spike to 5K in mid-August. Active users showed a positive trend, increasing from 74K at the start of the quarter to nearly 78K by the end.
