During the third quarter of 2024, the social app landscape in the Netherlands showed diverse performance trends across TikTok, Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat, Bigo Live - Live Streaming App, Tango- Live Stream, Video Chat, and SoulChill - Voice Chat & Party. Data from Sensor Tower provides an in-depth view of how these apps performed in terms of downloads, revenue, and user engagement.
TikTok maintained a strong presence with weekly revenue peaking at approximately $360K in late July and ending the quarter with around $313K. The app's weekly downloads fluctuated, starting at 33K and ending at 35K, while its active user base slightly decreased from 3.3M to 3.2M.
Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat saw a consistent weekly revenue pattern, with notable peaks reaching over $53K towards the end of September. Downloads were relatively stable, averaging around 1.1K, and active users hovered around 20K throughout the quarter.
Bigo Live - Live Streaming App experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at about $35K in mid-August. Downloads varied between 3.6K and 4.6K, while active users consistently remained around 28K to 29K.
Tango- Live Stream, Video Chat showed a declining trend in weekly revenue, starting from $17K and dropping to about $9.6K by the end of September. The app's downloads peaked at 3.5K in mid-August, and active users increased from 12K to about 16K during the quarter.
SoulChill - Voice Chat & Party saw a gradual increase in weekly revenue, rising to over $9K by the end of the quarter. Downloads remained under 1K, while active users grew slightly, starting at 2.7K and reaching just over 3K.
