In Q3 2024, the social app landscape in Kuwait saw notable trends, with TikTok from TikTok Pte. Ltd. leading in revenue generation. Throughout the quarter, its weekly revenue ranged from around $344K to a peak of approximately $524K at the end of September. Weekly downloads peaked at 17.7K in early August, while active users hovered around 2M, slightly decreasing towards the quarter's end.
Facebook from Meta Platforms, Inc. maintained steady growth. Its revenue began at $2.7K, rising to about $4.3K by September. Weekly downloads fluctuated, reaching a high of 12.7K in early August, with active user numbers consistently around 2.4M, showing minor fluctuations.
Instagram experienced varied revenue, starting at $13.8K and peaking at $26.4K in late September. Downloads peaked at 12.4K in early September, while active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 1.3M throughout the quarter.
Threads, also from Instagram, had no revenue data but saw an increase in downloads, reaching 11.2K by the end of September. Active users showed a consistent upward trend, growing from 53.2K to nearly 70K over the quarter.
Finally, X from X Corp. showed revenue fluctuations, starting at $26.2K and ending at $21.3K. Downloads varied slightly with a peak of 5.7K in early September, while active users decreased from 765.8K to 702.9K by the end of the quarter.
