Throughout the third quarter of 2024, the top social apps in Saudi Arabia displayed varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active user engagement, as observed from Sensor Tower data.

TikTok experienced a dynamic quarter with weekly revenue peaking at approximately $1.3M in early September. Downloads demonstrated a steady upward trajectory, culminating at around 192K in the week of September 9. Active user numbers, however, saw a slight dip, starting at 15.5M in early July and ending the quarter at about 14.9M.

Facebook registered a gradual increase in weekly revenue, reaching nearly $35K by the end of September. The app's download numbers remained relatively stable, with a slight decrease towards the end of the quarter, dropping from 131K in early August to 113K in late September. Active user engagement hovered around 12.4M throughout the quarter.

Instagram saw its weekly revenue increase to around $38K in early September, with downloads peaking at 120K in the same period. Active users fluctuated slightly, maintaining an average of about 12.5M throughout the quarter.

X reported a notable surge in weekly revenue, finishing the quarter at approximately $118K. Despite a decrease in downloads from 71K in early July to 65K by the end of September, the app maintained a robust active user base, although with a slight decrease from 9.2M to 8.3M.

Bigo Live - Live Streaming App had a fluctuating revenue pattern, with a peak of about $120K in late July. Downloads saw a downward trend, starting at 46K in early July and decreasing to 30K by the end of September. The active user count remained relatively stable, averaging around 680K over the quarter.
