During the third quarter of 2024, the social networking landscape in the United Kingdom was marked by diverse trends across the top five apps, as reported by Sensor Tower.
Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat saw its weekly revenue fluctuate, peaking at approximately $290K in late September. The app's downloads experienced a minor increase towards early September, reaching about 8K. However, weekly active users showed a slight decline from 402K to around 367K throughout the quarter.
Life360: Find Friends & Family displayed a steady rise in weekly revenue, culminating at roughly $167K by the end of September. Downloads reached a high point of approximately 101K in early September, while active users increased significantly from about 2.9M to over 3.1M during the quarter.
Yubo : Make friends, live chat experienced a consistent revenue stream, with a notable high of around $139K at the end of September. Despite a decline in downloads from about 18K to 12K, active users remained relatively stable, ending the quarter at approximately 167K.
Azar: 1 on 1 Video Chat Online showed a gradual increase in revenue, peaking at nearly $119K. Weekly downloads varied, with a peak of around 12.6K in early August, while active users maintained stability, averaging around 77K.
Finally, Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out reported a steady climb in revenue, reaching approximately $162K by the end of September. Downloads fluctuated, with a peak of about 60K in late August, and active users consistently hovered around 4.1M throughout the quarter.
