In the third quarter of 2024, the social networking app landscape in Greece revealed intriguing trends across the top five applications, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at the performance of each app on a unified platform.
Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat from Grindr LLC showed a steady revenue performance, starting at around $11.5K in early July and peaking at approximately $12.3K in early August. Downloads fluctuated slightly, starting at 616 and peaking at 748 by the end of July, while weekly active users hovered around 8K, with a slight decline towards the end of September.
OmeTV – Video Chat Alternative from Bad Kitty's Dad experienced consistent revenue with a peak of about $7.3K in early September. Downloads began at 5.4K, showing a downward trend to 3.4K by the end of September. Weekly active users also saw a decline from approximately 30K to 26K.
Rakuten Viber Messenger from Viber Media SARL. showed a notable increase in revenue, starting at $4.6K and rising to about $7.2K mid-September. Downloads saw a high of 21K in early August, while weekly active users remained strong, peaking at over 5M by the end of September.
Telegram Messenger from Telegram FZ-LLC demonstrated an upward revenue trend, beginning at $1.7K and reaching approximately $6.5K by the end of the quarter. Downloads increased from 10.5K to over 13.7K in late August. Weekly active users stabilized around 430K.
Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out from Discord, Inc. started the quarter with a revenue of $4.3K, fluctuating throughout and ending at about $4.5K. Downloads experienced significant variation, peaking at 15K in late August. Weekly active users remained steady, closing the quarter at approximately 330K.
