The third quarter of 2024 saw interesting dynamics in the sports app category on a unified platform in Qatar. According to Sensor Tower data, the top five sports apps demonstrated varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.
eFootball™ from KONAMI observed a fluctuating revenue trend, peaking at around $5.3K in mid-August. Downloads reached their highest at 1.4K in early September, while active users peaked at 22.2K in the same week before declining towards the end of the quarter.
EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile Soccer by ELECTRONIC ARTS maintained a consistent revenue stream, with a peak of $10.4K in late July. The app saw a steady download rate, with a notable spike to 2.3K in late September, while active users remained relatively stable, with a slight enhancement to 10.6K in the same period.
The EA SPORTS FC™ 25 Companion app showed a significant jump in revenue towards the end of September, reaching approximately $6.4K. Downloads and active users experienced modest growth, with downloads peaking at 377 and active users reaching 8.5K in the final week.
DAZN - Watch Live Sports had a moderate revenue increase, peaking at $1.2K in early September. Despite this, downloads remained low, with a peak of 311 in early July, and active users fluctuated, peaking at 3.3K mid-July.
Finally, Top Eleven Be a Soccer Manager from Nordeus saw revenue rise to $1.5K in mid-August. Downloads peaked at 486 in the same week, while active users reached 2.6K, demonstrating a consistent user engagement throughout the quarter.
