During the third quarter of 2024, the top sports apps in Switzerland showcased varied performance trends, as reported by Sensor Tower. The Olympics: Live Sports & News app, published by the IOC, experienced a significant spike in weekly downloads in late July, reaching around 23.7K. However, downloads declined sharply in the following weeks, with active users following a similar pattern, peaking at 44.7K before dropping to approximately 1.1K by the end of the quarter.
SRF Sport - Live Sport, from Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen, maintained a consistent presence with downloads fluctuating between 1.6K and 12.8K. Active user numbers remained relatively stable, averaging around 20K to 37K throughout the quarter.
PlayerPlus - team organization, developed by SPM SPORTPLATZ MEDIA GMBH, saw a gradual increase in weekly revenue, peaking at $3.1K in early August. Weekly downloads were steady, though experiencing a slight decline towards the end of the quarter. Active users grew steadily, reaching over 44K by mid-September.
The Paris 2024 Tickets app saw an initial surge in downloads in July, peaking at 5.7K, with active user numbers following suit. However, both metrics declined substantially by September, with active users stabilizing around 6.5K.
EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile Soccer by Electronic Arts demonstrated strong financial performance with weekly revenue reaching up to $60.2K in late July. Downloads remained consistent, ranging between 2K and 4.5K, while active users peaked at over 91K in late September, indicating a robust engagement from its user base.
