In the third quarter of 2024, the top five voxel games on the unified platform in the United States exhibited varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at their trends, as reported by Sensor Tower.
Minecraft: Play with Friends from Mojang saw a gradual decline in both revenue and downloads. Starting with a weekly revenue of approximately $1.2M in early July, it tapered to around $819K by the end of September. Downloads mirrored this downward trend, beginning at 291K and decreasing to 87K. However, weekly active users remained consistently high, though they did drop from 9.5M to 6.6M over the quarter.
Pixel Gun 3D: Online Shooter, developed by Cubic Games, experienced a modest fluctuation in revenue, peaking at $59K in early July and settling around $41K by the end of September. Download numbers decreased from 24K to 20K, while weekly active users showed a slight decrease from 290K to 254K.
Hunt Royale: Action RPG Battle by BoomBit, Inc. observed a steady revenue pattern, ranging between $38K and $52K. Downloads peaked at over 5K in late July but declined to under 1K by the end of September. Weekly active users increased from 7.9K to a peak of 15.5K in mid-August before settling at 11.5K.
Kingdoms of HF - Dragon War from A Thinking Ape Entertainment Ltd. showed fluctuating revenue, reaching a high of $27K in late August. Downloads were sporadic, with notable activity in early August. Weekly active users surged to over 1K in mid-August before declining to around 528 by the end of the quarter.
Finally, Monster Demolition - Giants 3D by SayGames LTD maintained a consistent revenue stream, starting at $11K in early July and ending at $6.5K in late September. Downloads decreased from 92K to 37K over the quarter, while weekly active users decreased from 407K to 318K.
