In the fourth quarter of 2024, several food and drink apps on the Android platform in the United States showed varied performance trends. Here’s a look at the top five applications based on their weekly downloads and active user data, sourced from Sensor Tower.
McDonald's experienced a consistent download rate, starting at approximately 157K and peaking at 175K in early November. Active users saw fluctuations, with a notable peak of about 9.8M in mid-December before dropping to 8.5M by year-end.
DoorDash: Food, Grocery, More maintained a steady increase in downloads towards the end of the quarter, reaching 150K in the final week of December. The app's active users ranged from 7.1M to 7.7M, showing a positive trend throughout the quarter.
Taco Bell Fast Food & Delivery witnessed a gradual increase in downloads, ending the year at around 85K. Active users fluctuated, peaking at over 2.1M in mid-December but dropping to 1.9M by the end of the quarter.
Uber Eats: Food and Grocery showed a consistent rise in downloads, culminating in 82K by late December. Its active user base remained stable, hovering around 3.3M to 3.5M throughout the quarter.
Finally, Domino's Pizza USA saw a steady download trend, closing the quarter at approximately 74K. Active users remained dynamic, peaking at 1.7M in late December.
