In the fourth quarter of 2024, the air travel app market in Latin America showcased notable trends across the top five applications on the iOS platform. Here’s a closer look at their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.
LATAM: Flights, Hotels, Cars saw consistent weekly downloads, ranging from 35.9K to 48.7K. Active users fluctuated slightly, peaking at 853K in late November before settling around 678K by the end of December.
The LATAM Pass app experienced a significant spike in downloads, reaching 63K in early December. Active users also rose steadily, starting at 147K in late September and climbing to over 210K by early December.
Azul maintained a stable download rate, with figures hovering between 18.8K and 25.5K. The app's active user base exhibited a slight decline towards the end of the year, from 1.4M in late November to approximately 1.2M in December.
For GOL | Passagens Aéreas, downloads peaked at 25.1K in late November. Active users increased notably during the quarter, reaching a high of 380K in late November before settling at 258K by year-end.
Finally, Volaris showed stable download numbers, ranging from 14.6K to 18.3K. Active users rose from 235K in September to nearly 294K by December, indicating a steady growth in user engagement.
