The fourth quarter of 2024 saw intriguing trends in the sandbox gaming category on iOS in Uruguay. According to data from Sensor Tower, these top five games exhibited varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.
Roblox from Roblox Corporation showed a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $6.5K in late December. Weekly downloads also rose, reaching about 1.9K by the end of the quarter. Active users increased from 27.2K at the start to nearly 29.2K by the close of the quarter.
Minecraft: Dream it, Build it! by Mojang experienced a gradual increase in active users, starting at 1.4K and peaking at 3.5K in early December. Revenue saw a significant rise towards the end, with the last week of December bringing in approximately $804.
Terraria, published by 505 Games, had a modest revenue increase, reaching $35 in early December. However, there were no notable downloads throughout the quarter.
Melon: Sandbox from Payge Ltd experienced fluctuating active user numbers, starting at 1.6K and peaking at 1.8K in late December. Revenue was minimal, with occasional small spikes, such as $66 in the first week of October.
Morph Mod - Mods for Minecraft by JALI STORE saw a slight increase in active users, maintaining around 45 throughout December. Revenue was sporadic, with a peak of $32 at the end of October.
