State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the carpooling and ridesharing market in the United Arab Emirates witnessed significant trends across top apps, as reported by Sensor Tower.
Careem – rides, food & more maintained a consistent weekly download rate, peaking at approximately 26K by the end of December. The app's active users fluctuated, starting at 1.05M in early October and dropping to around 940K by the end of the quarter.
Yango: taxi, food, delivery showed a steady increase in downloads, reaching nearly 15K in early December. Active users also increased, with numbers rising from 38K at the start of the quarter to about 40K by the end.
Uber - Request a ride saw a gradual rise in downloads, culminating in over 10K in late December. Active user engagement peaked mid-quarter at over 215K, before settling to around 169K by the end.
Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a significant upswing in downloads, reaching over 20K by December. Active users followed a similar trend, increasing from 86K to over 150K by the quarter's close.
Finally, inDrive. Save on city rides maintained a stable download pattern, with a slight peak at over 5K in late December. Active users remained relatively steady throughout the quarter, fluctuating around 38K.
