In the final quarter of 2024, the carpooling and ridesharing market in Mexico saw significant activity across top applications, as tracked by Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at how these apps performed.
DiDi Rider: Affordable rides maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at approximately 214K in late December. Active users fluctuated throughout the quarter, starting at around 14.3M and slightly declining to 13M by the end of December.
Uber - Request a ride experienced a notable increase in downloads, particularly in early December, reaching nearly 201K. The app's active user base showed a similar upward trend, peaking at over 7.4M in early December before a slight decline.
inDrive. Save on city rides saw a steady increase in downloads, with numbers reaching 117K in late December. Active users were quite dynamic, with a peak of approximately 3.3M in early December, followed by a decrease towards the end of the month.
DiDi Driver: Drive & Earn Cash showed consistent download activity, peaking at around 98K in late December. Active users remained stable, starting at 952K and seeing a slight rise to 958K by the end of the quarter.
Finally, Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver experienced a peak in downloads in early December with over 87K. The app maintained a robust active user base, peaking at over 1.2M mid-quarter.
