In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top communication apps in Slovakia showed varying performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Messenger from Meta Platforms, Inc. experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 18.4K in late December. The app's weekly revenue also saw a rise, reaching around $282 in the same period. Active users fluctuated slightly but ended the quarter strong with about 1.8M.

WhatsApp Messenger, published by WhatsApp LLC, maintained a steady weekly download rate, with a significant spike to 17.4K in late December. Revenue remained relatively stable, with minor fluctuations, peaking at $37. Active user numbers were consistently high, ending the quarter with over 2.3M.

Snapchat from Snap Inc showed a strong performance in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $4.9K towards the end of December. Downloads increased notably, reaching 8.7K in late December. The app's active user base varied, closing the quarter at around 391K.

The local app, Môj Orange, published by Orange Slovensko, a.s., saw a surge in weekly downloads in early November, hitting 9.2K. Active users grew steadily throughout the quarter, peaking at approximately 68.7K in late November.

Lastly, Radosť from O2 Slovakia, s.r.o., experienced consistent downloads with a peak of 4.4K in late December. Active users showed an increase early in the quarter, reaching over 85K in early November, before declining towards the end.
