In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top consumer finance applications in Mexico demonstrated varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. This analysis, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into these trends.

BBVA México maintained strong weekly downloads, starting at approximately 202K at the beginning of October and fluctuating slightly to around 183K by the end of December. The app saw a peak in active users at about 21.9M in early December, despite a slight dip towards the end of the quarter.

Nu experienced a consistent number of weekly downloads, beginning with 164K and ending with a rise to 152K. Active users showed a notable increase, reaching 6.9M by the end of December.

Banco Azteca started the quarter with downloads at 135K, experiencing a slight decline to 121K by the end. However, active users remained relatively stable, peaking at nearly 7.3M in early December.

Banco del Bienestar Movil saw a significant increase in downloads, particularly in early December, with numbers reaching as high as 333K. Active users also surged, peaking at 8M during the same period before tapering off towards the end of the quarter.

BanCoppel showed a steady download rate, starting with 118K and slightly declining to 97K by the quarter's end. Active users saw a minor fluctuation but ultimately increased to 5.9M by late December.
