In the final quarter of 2024, the top five insurance applications in the United Kingdom showed varied performance trends across weekly downloads and active users. Below is an overview of each app's performance based on data from Sensor Tower.
Hastings Direct Insurance experienced a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, starting at around 27K in early October and peaking at 31.6K by the end of December. Active users ranged from 271K to 328K, with a noticeable peak in mid-November.
Admiral Insurance saw a gradual decline in weekly downloads, beginning at 20.2K and reaching a low of 12.7K before a slight recovery to 17.5K at the quarter's end. Active users fluctuated, peaking at 168K and dipping to a low of 111K.
Legal & General showcased a dramatic spike in downloads in mid-November, reaching 54K. Active users mirrored this trend, peaking at 112K during the same period, with consistent activity throughout the quarter.
MyAviva - Insurance & finance maintained steady weekly downloads, fluctuating between 13K and 11K. Active user numbers showed stability, ranging from 161K to 194K, with a peak in late November.
Cuvva experienced a decline in downloads from 14.5K to 8.3K over the quarter. However, active users increased from 97K to approximately 73K by December end, indicating a loyal user base despite fewer new downloads.
