In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top shopping apps in the United States exhibited notable performance trends, as revealed by Sensor Tower data. Here's a closer look at the weekly downloads and active user metrics for these leading applications.
Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire started the quarter with weekly downloads at approximately 881K, experiencing fluctuations throughout the period. The downloads decreased to around 671K in mid-December but rebounded to about 860K by the end of the year. Active users showed a strong upward trend, rising from about 37.8M to 43.8M over the quarter.
SHEIN - Shopping Online maintained a steady download rate, beginning the quarter with 570K and ending with approximately 430K. Weekly active users showed a decline from 30.1M to 26.2M, indicating a downward trend over the quarter.
Amazon Shopping consistently generated significant revenue, peaking at nearly $4.95M in late November. Downloads varied, starting at about 477K, peaking at 539K in late December, and active users remained robust, ranging from 102.4M to 115.1M.
Walmart: Shopping & Savings saw a notable increase in downloads, starting at 408K and reaching a peak of 607K in late November. Active users also increased, peaking at approximately 48.9M in late November before slightly decreasing towards the end of the year.
Shop: All your favorite brands experienced a significant rise in downloads from 284K at the beginning of the quarter to a peak of 694K in early December. Active users followed a similar pattern, increasing from 12.7M to a peak of 21.8M in December before a slight decline.
