State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
In the first quarter of 2025, the top beauty retail apps on the Android platform in the United Kingdom showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the trends for each app, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Boots saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 31.1K in early February. Active users fluctuated throughout the quarter, beginning at 933K and experiencing a dip to 779K before recovering slightly to 798K by the end of March.
Superdrug - Beauty and Health experienced a steady decline in downloads from 10.8K to 7.2K over the quarter, while active user numbers remained relatively stable, hovering around 100K with a slight peak at 106K in late February.
Sephora UK: Make-up, Beauty showed a decrease in weekly downloads from 4.9K to 1.2K by the end of March. However, active users maintained a steady presence, starting at 35K and seeing a peak of 45K in late January before settling at 37K.
Cult Beauty: Beauty & Makeup had downloads remaining fairly stable between 2.7K and 2K. Active users peaked at 32K in late January but showed a gradual decline to 24K by the end of the quarter.
The Perfume Shop – TPS App downloads decreased from 2.7K to 1.5K over the quarter. Active users followed a similar trend, starting at 15K and ending slightly lower at 14.6K.
