In the first quarter of 2025, the top consumer finance applications on the Android platform in Mexico showed diverse performance trends. Here's an overview of how these apps fared during this period, with data provided by Sensor Tower.
Banco del Bienestar Móvil demonstrated a remarkable increase in weekly downloads, climbing from approximately 69K in the first week of January to nearly 719K by the end of March. The app's active users also surged, starting at 2.4M and peaking at 3.8M.
BBVA México maintained a steady download rate, with figures fluctuating between 156K and 206K. Active users showed consistent engagement, ranging from 8.1M to 8.7M throughout the quarter.
Nu experienced stable download numbers, averaging around 128K weekly. The active user base remained consistent, hovering just under 3M, with slight increases observed towards the quarter's end.
Banco Azteca saw weekly downloads ranging from 104K to 127K. Active user trends were positive, increasing from 3.4M to nearly 3.9M over the quarter.
BanCoppel displayed a steady growth in downloads, starting at 80K and reaching up to 106K. Active users showed resilience, maintaining around 1.7M throughout the quarter.
